at the bowling alley:
“Sorry we’re late.”

 “No problem, we’re still waiting for most of the team. Janice Richards is on her way.”
“Hi, I’m Gavin Johnson. I’ve been out of the office, so we haven’t met. I was waiting for Peter to introduce me, but I decided to save him the trouble.”

“Sorry about being so rude. I was thinking about getting beers.”

“I’ll buy the first round! To say thank you for letting me join the bowling and the accounts teams. I really feel like I fit in here.”

“Bob, let me help you with thosedrinks. It’ll be nice to talk a bit. Janice is already here! Who’s she with?”

“It looks like Mr Jones.” (Janice and Mr Jones reach them)

“Please, at bowling, I’m Alf. Weall use first names when we’re
bowling!”

“Ok Alf, but I feel strange saying it. Would you like a beer?”

“I’d love one, thanks. Janice, beer?”
“White wine, thanks. Bob, do you need a hand with the drinks?”

“That’s ok. Gavin is helping me.”

“Janice! Alf! You’re already here! Fantastic! Our lane should be ready soon.”
